DESCRIPTION:Introducing the first Free Little Card Barn in the Nation\, right here in Downtown Danbury!\nWe are thrilled to announce a truly history-making moment for our community: the Grand Opening of Downtown Danbury’s and the nation’s very first Free Little Card Barn!  Unlike the many wonderful Little Free Libraries and Free Little Art Galleries that exist\, this is the first of its kind: a joyful\, art-filled home for handwritten connection! \n  \n📅 Date: Wednesday\, January 14⏰ Time: 3:30 PM📍 Location: CIFC Health\, 120 Main Street\, Danbury\, CT \n  \nOur celebration begins at 3:30 PM with inspiring remarks from Mayor Roberto Alves\, community leaders\, and the passionate members of the CityCenter Danbury Arts & Aesthetics Committee\, whose creativity and dedication helped bring this dream to life.  The Opening Ceremony will be held in the Community Room at the Connecticut Institute for Communities (CIFC).  Guests will enjoy complimentary gift bags containing beautiful\, stamped greeting cards\, along with light seasonal refreshments. \n\nThis Free Little Card Barn was inspired by the joy of our Free Little Art Gallery (located outside Mothership Café at 331 Main Street)\, and the generosity of Little Free Libraries everywhere but with a heartfelt twist!  This colorful barn invites everyone to take a card\, leave a card\, or simply be inspired\, all completely free of charge.  It is a place where art\, kindness\, and handwritten words come together to reconnect people without a screen and in a world that often moves too fast for personal notes. \n\nThis project was made possible through the generous support of AARP Connecticut’s Livable Communities program\, whose grant funded the barn’s construction\, grand opening celebration\, and a series of upcoming artist-led card making workshops for seniors and anyone who wants to participate. DESCRIPTION:CityCenter Danbury\, in partnership with Kiwanis Club of Greater Danbury announces the 34th Annual Halloween on the Green on Saturday\, October 24th from 1pm-4pm.
