Join CityCenter Danbury for a fun-filled afternoon of creativity, kindness, and community at our Free Little Card Barn Workshop!

Children ages 6 and up are invited to design and create beautiful handmade greeting cards that may be shared through the nation’s first Free Little Card Barn, located right here in Downtown Danbury. From birthday wishes and thank-you notes to uplifting messages and holiday greetings, each handmade card is a unique work of art that has the power to brighten someone’s day.

This workshop celebrates the importance of creativity, compassion, and personal connection through the simple act of giving a handmade card. In today’s fast-paced digital world, we’re excited to help inspire the next generation to express kindness through art and handwritten messages.

We are proud to partner with CIFC Health, whose commitment to serving local families and strengthening our community makes programs like this possible. Together, we’re creating opportunities for children and families to connect, create, and give back through meaningful community outreach.

The workshop will be led by Kim McCormack of Creative Curiosity, whose engaging and imaginative art programs encourage creativity, confidence, and self-expression in artists of all ages.

  • Children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
  • All art supplies are provided
  • No artistic experience is necessary, just bring your imagination!

I understand that my child is participating in the Free Little Card Barn Workshop hosted by CityCenter Danbury in partnership with CIFC Health. I acknowledge that a parent or legal guardian must remain with and directly supervise their child for the entire duration of the workshop. CityCenter Danbury, CIFC Health, Creative Curiosity, workshop instructors, volunteers, sponsors, and event partners do not provide child care or supervision. I voluntarily allow my child to participate in this workshop and understand that arts and crafts activities may involve the use of scissors, markers, glue, paint, and other common craft materials. I assume full responsibility for my child's safety, behavior, and supervision during the event. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless CityCenter Danbury, CIFC Health, Creative Curiosity, their officers, directors, employees, volunteers, sponsors, partners, and affiliates from any liability, claims, demands, injuries, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or related to participation in this event, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
