Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut is a leader in supporting a vibrant arts and culture community in Northern Fairfield and Southern Litchfield Counties. They advocate for arts, history and culture as an enriching influence for communities and people from their headquarters on Main Street, Danbury.
Danbury Arena is a multi-purpose recreational facility offering public ice skating, lessons, party venue and clinics. The Arena is home to the Danbury Hat Tricks minor league hockey team. Danbury Arena’s café and bar serves cold craft beer, cocktails and more. Open with extra safety protocols, and advanced reservations are required. See website for details.
Danbury Library provides residents with access to free books, music, downloadable materials and more from their Main Street location. Check out their robust calendar of events for interactive classes and educational resources. Currently closed to the public; Curbside pick-up is on-hold, but there’s still plenty of digital content available!
Danbury Museum and Historical Society is a private museum located at 43 Main Street whose purpose is to preserve the rich heritage of the greater Danbury area for education, information, and research. Outdoor exhibits are open.
Danbury Music Centre is located in a beautiful 19th-century building, formerly the public library, at 256 Main Street, Danbury CT. They provide classical community music experiences through ensembles and events. Currently closed to the public. Visit website for virtual performances.
Danbury Railway Museum is located in the heart of Danbury, Connecticut. Our fully restored train station, built in 1903, houses a collection of historically significant artifacts and a research library covering railroading’s rich heritage in New England and the northeast United States. Just behind the station is an extensive rail yard, featuring over 60 pieces of historic railroad equipment and rolling stock. The Museum and rail yard are open year-round. Family-friendly rides aboard our historic trains are offered every weekend between April and December, and special event trains are operated for Easter, Autumn, and Christmas.
Danbury Westerners Baseball New England Collegiate Baseball League who plays their home games in the summer at Rogers Park in Danbury.
Escape to the Arts Family-friendly classes and workshops specializing in youth development through the Regional YMCA of Western CT. Programs are run by professional artists as instructors. Currently closed to the public.
