Can you explain the role of the CityCenter Ambassadors?

It is our goal that downtown Danbury is a welcoming, safe and highly serviced place for our residents, employees and visitors. Our CCD full-time staff is part of achieving that goal! As ambassadors, they create a safer atmosphere by serving as an extra pair of eyes and ears through our collaboration with Danbury Police. Next, they assist visitors with general information to better navigate the downtown.

How can the public identify the CityCenter Ambassadors?

Our CCD team can be found throughout the downtown business district wearing blue polo shirts or jackets and hats with the words CITYCENTER DANBURY. We encourage all residents, employees and visitors to say hello to our staff and to consider them as a resource to enhance your experience downtown.

What is the biggest benefit you see in having the Ambassador on the streets?

The Ambassadors serve our community by engaging our diverse stakeholders ranging from business owners to our homeless population. They will help to monitor activities in and around downtown and help maintain a welcoming, safe and highly serviced place for our downtown residents, employees and visitors.
