CityCenter Danbury welcomes you to help decorate the downtown Danbury district.  We provide a free scarecrow structure – you dress, stuff, and decorate the scarecrow!

Get Ready for a Spooktacular Scarecrow Challenge!

Festive Scarecrow Structures Provided: Each participant will receive a 5-foot tall scarecrow frame to get creative with!

Decorate and Display: Transform your scarecrow into a whimsical work of art! Downtown businesses are encouraged to use their logos for promotional flair. This is a fantastic team-building opportunity for employees!

Weather-Ready: Ensure your scarecrow can weather the elements! All decorations must be securely attached to stand up to sun, wind, and rain. We reserve the right to remove any entry that cannot be displayed properly.

Creative Criteria: Scarecrows should be fun, colorful, and imaginative—think whimsical, funny, cute, or historical! Use materials creatively and in an earth-friendly manner. Please avoid anything scary, gruesome, bloody, controversial, religious, or political.

Prizes Galore:

• First Prize: $500!
• Five Runners-Up: Each will receive a $100 gift certificate to a downtown establishment.

Craft Your Entry: All scarecrows must be handmade using recycled materials like clothing, hats, straw, and raffia. No real pumpkins, gourds, or electronic/mechanical parts allowed.

• Special location requests may be considered but are not guaranteed.
• All entries become the property of CityCenter Danbury and will not be returned.
