Downtown Parking

Welcome, we saved a space for you! Danbury Parking Authority operates and maintains the metered parking spaces, municipal parking lots and public parking garages. Daily and monthly permits are available at the office located in the Patriot Garage, 21 Delay Street.

Street Parking Meters

Hours of Operation:
Monday – Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Surface Lot Parking Meters:
Monday – Saturday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Sunday and bank holidays – Free

  • All meters take quarters and contactless payment via the ParkMobile App or purchase a Prepaid SmartPark Card at the Danbury Parking Authority office (21 Delay St.).
  • Rates are $0.25 per 10 min.

Parking Garages

The two parking garages downtown are equipped with bright LED lighting, security cameras, electric charging stations, and elevators. In addition to hourly rates, monthly passes to city parking garages are available by contacting the Danbury Parking Authority at 203-748-6423.

Municipal Lots

Please check for availability at Danbury Parking Authority office as most lots are sold to capacity.

Enforcement hours are 8am to 8pm Monday through Saturday.

Sundays and Federal holidays are free.

Lot 13 located on the south side of Liberty Street.
Lot 9 located at west and Division Street.
Lot 8 located at the north side of Liberty Street.

Metro North Commuter Lot

Located at One Patriot Drive, the Danbury stop on the New Haven line has 129 permit and 5 Handicap spaces along with twelve 10 hour meters.

Handicap Parking

Handicap accessible parking spaces are available throughout Downtown. All parking garages have designated handicap parking spaces, located on each floor of the garage.

Electric Charging Stations

There are two electric charging stations in the Patriot Garage. Pay for the time parked, no additional charging fees.
